First batch of SputnikV has arrived in the Philippines

 





MANILA, Philippines
Meeting the first batch of  SputnikV   in the Philippines.
Today  the pilot delivery of Sputnik (15,000 doses) arrived in the Philippines. 







The volume of doses will be gradually increased every month. 
According to the bilateral agreement reached on April 14, 2021.  Russia is to deliver 20 mln doses to the Philippines by the end of this year.




 Many thanks to the DOH, DFA, Special Envoy for Russia and the other members of the IATF. 
Thank you to President Duterte, Foreign Secretary Locsin and DFA officials for their trust and promotion of Sputnik V in the Philippines, according to the Facebook post of Russian Embassy in the Philippines.

MMDA Chair Danilo Lim dies at 65

The MMDA Chief Danilo Lim died early this morning. 
MMDA is one the government agencies working in the frontlines of the COVID-19 battle, Mr Lim contracted the virus late last year.

News | Metro Manila now in GCQ - President Rody Duterte

 


Davao City, Philippines

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on Monday, August 17, placed Metro Manila to General Community Quarantine (GCQ) effective August 19 until August 31, 2020.

The President likewise reverted the provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal from Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) to GCQ.

Other areas placed under GCQ are Nueva Ecija, Batangas, Quezon in Luzon; Iloilo City, Cebu City, Lapu Lapu City, Mandaue City, Talisay City, the municipalities of Minglanilla and Consolacion in Cebu province for the Visayas. 

The rest of the Philippines are placed under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).

NCCC Malls "The Dome" to be used as Quarantine Facility.



DAVAO CITY, Davao
August 6, 2020

NCCC’s “The Dome” located at the back of NCCC Mall VP will be reserved as a COVID-19 quarantine facility as it was turned over to the City Government of Davao. The project noted for its appearance similar to structures found in science-fiction movies.

According to  the  PIA Davao region website, Ms. Sharlene Faye A. Lim, NCCC Malls president, donated the facility to be used as an additional holding area for COVID-19 patients in the event the city needs it, she said. In addition to that, Ms. Lim and the local government of Davao agreed with the arrangement in using the facilities.





The facility has a total net area of 1,250 square meter that can accommodate up to 78 persons. It is also equipped with nurses' stations, doctors' work area and an administration office.

The Dome is NCCC Mall VP’s contribution to the city in its efforts to manage the COVID-19 situation. The 78-bed capacity will add to the target of 1,000 beds to prepare for a possible influx of COVID cases.

Meanwhile Lim reiterated that NCCC Mall VP strictly follows and implements safety protocols to ensure the well-being of its customers.

Cebu City now under MECQ, NCR still GCQ - July 16 -31, 2020




President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, in his "Talk to the People Address" on July 15, placed Cebu City under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) starting July 16.

The National Capital Region, meanwhile, continues to remain under General Community Quarantine (GCQ).

Placed under GCQ until July 31, 2020 :
Laguna, Cavite, and Rizal for Calabarzon
 Lapu Lapu City, Mandaue City for Central Visayas
Ormoc City, Southern Leyte for Eastern Visayas
Butuan City, Agusan del Norte for Caraga
Basilan for BARMM
Zamboanga City for Zamboanga Peninsula
Talisay City, Minglanilla, and Consolacion for Cebu Province.



Placed under MGCQ the following areas (Modified General Community Quarantine)

SAP 2nd tranche distribution starts





The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has started the distribution of the 2nd tranche of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) for the beneficiaries of the 4Ps.

The DSWD said, around 1.3 million 4Ps cash card holders are expected to be given SAP aid.

It initially stated that the distribution of the second tranche will happen this week. The agency has encouraged the public to download the “Relief Agad App” for a quicker processing of the aid.
