NCCC’s “The Dome” located at the back of NCCC Mall VP will be reserved as a COVID-19 quarantine facility as it was turned over to the City Government of Davao. The project noted for its appearance similar to structures found in science-fiction movies.
According to the PIA Davao region website, Ms. Sharlene Faye A. Lim, NCCC Malls president, donated the facility to be used as an additional holding area for COVID-19 patients in the event the city needs it, she said. In addition to that, Ms. Lim and the local government of Davao agreed with the arrangement in using the facilities.
The facility has a total net area of 1,250 square meter that can accommodate up to 78 persons. It is also equipped with nurses' stations, doctors' work area and an administration office.
The Dome is NCCC Mall VP’s contribution to the city in its efforts to manage the COVID-19 situation. The 78-bed capacity will add to the target of 1,000 beds to prepare for a possible influx of COVID cases.
Meanwhile Lim reiterated that NCCC Mall VP strictly follows and implements safety protocols to ensure the well-being of its customers.
