⚡🚗 DAVAO CITY CHARGES INTO THE FUTURE OF ELECTRIC MOBILITY

DAVAO CITY — Several 60-kW DC fast-charging stations are now under construction along Ma-a Road, strengthening the city’s growing electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure.

The charging facilities are being developed by VinFast, the Vietnam-origin EV manufacturer and one of the emerging players in the Philippine electric vehicle market.

The development comes as Davao continues to position itself as a major investment and business hub in Mindanao. The city ranked 10th among the Philippines’ largest provincial and highly urbanized city economies in 2025, with a ₱601.68-billion GDP—and remained the only economy outside Luzon in the national Top 10. With more EV charging infrastructure coming online, Davao is not only growing economically, it is also preparing for a cleaner, smarter, and more connected transportation future.
