The ultra-luxury cruise vessel MV Luminara recently made its inaugural stop in Coron, bringing over 200 international travelers to experience the world-famous natural attractions of Palawan.
Operated by The Ritz‑Carlton Yacht Collection, the newest and largest yacht in its fleet offered guests a curated island adventure that included swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and trekking across some of Coron’s most iconic sites such as Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, Twin Lagoon, and Siete Pecados Marine Park.
Prior to arriving in Coron, the luxury cruise also made maiden visits to Ilocos Sur and Boracay, highlighting the Philippines’ growing appeal as a premier cruise tourism destination.
After Coron, the voyage continued to other key destinations in Palawan, including El Nido and Puerto Princesa, giving visitors a broader glimpse of the province’s breathtaking landscapes and marine biodiversity.
The visiting passengers were warmly welcomed by tourism officials and local government representatives, reinforcing the country’s push to strengthen cruise tourism and showcase the Philippines to the global travel market.
