Davao City, Metro Davao  | June 27, 2025 Davao City Vice Mayor-elect Sebastian “Baste” Duterte formally took his oath of office on the afternoon of June 27, 2025, during the Inaugural Ceremony held at the Sangguniang Panlungsod.

The event was attended by members of the Duterte family, including his mother Elizabeth Zimmerman, Vice President Sara Duterte, Councillor-elect Rigo Duterte, Congressman-elect Omar Duterte, and other close relatives.

In his brief inaugural message, Vice Mayor Duterte expressed gratitude for the continued trust of Dabawenyos.

“I am deeply honored by the opportunity to serve once again. I vow to fulfill my duties with sincerity, humility, and a strong commitment to the people of Davao,” he said.

Vice President Sara Duterte, in a show of support, also addressed the audience briefly.

“Public service is a responsibility and a legacy. I am confident that Vice Mayor Baste will lead with integrity and dedication,” she remarked.

The ceremony marks the beginning of a new term for Davao City’s local government leaders.
