News | Night of Torrential Rain Triggers Deadly San Ricardo Landslide




Landslide Hits San Ricardo, Southern Leyte; One Missing, One Injured

SAN RICARDO, Southern Leyte (July 13, 2025) – A landslide struck Barangay San Ramon in San Ricardo at around 12:30 AM following hours of heavy rainfall, leaving one person missing and another injured.


The missing individual has been identified as Dador Moscosa, a foreman for 888 ACY Construction. The injured victim is currently receiving medical treatment. The landslide site is located approximately 40 kilometers from the town proper.

Local authorities and rescue teams have been deployed, and search and rescue operations are ongoing.

CATHOLIC PENITENTS IN LEYTE, PH

PALO, Leyte 
These are devotees in Palo, Leyte. They retained the practice of wearing garbs during Holy Week. 
This garb originates from 1500s Spain (and is still being worn today during Easter in some Spanish regions) and got passed down to the colonies, way before the Ku Klux Klan was founded.
