MCIA Wins 2025 ASQ Best Airport Award for Second Straight Year
Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) has once again secured international recognition after being named the 2025 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Best Airport in Asia-Pacific for the 5–15 million passengers category—marking its second consecutive win.
The award, conferred under the Airport Service Quality program of Airports Council International (ACI), is based solely on verified passenger feedback, making it one of the most respected indicators of service performance in the aviation industry. This year’s survey gathered insights from nearly 707,000 travelers worldwide, with MCIA earning distinction among 88 airports recognized for excellence in departure experience.
Airport officials attributed the achievement to sustained improvements in passenger comfort, operational efficiency, and customer-focused services, reinforced by strong collaboration between private stakeholders and government partners. The recognition further solidifies Cebu’s standing as a vital gateway for tourism and commerce in the Philippines.
The formal presentation of the award will take place at the ACI World Airport Experience Summit in Istanbul, Türkiye, from August 31 to September 4, 2026.
