World News | Saudi Arabia’s ‘Sleeping Prince’ Awakens After 20 Years in Coma?

Saudi Arabia’s 'Sleeping Prince' Reportedly Awakens After 20 Years in Coma

Riyadh – In what could be described as a modern-day miracle, reports have emerged that Saudi Arabia’s "Sleeping Prince," Al-Waleed bin Khaled Al-Saud, has awakened after nearly two decades in a coma.

The son of billionaire Prince Khaled bin Talal, Al-Waleed slipped into a coma in 2005 following a devastating car crash while studying at a UK military college. Since then, he has remained on life support at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, nourished only through a feeding tube.

Doctors had urged the family to withdraw life support in 2015, but Prince Khaled refused, holding onto faith. “If God wanted him to die in the accident, he would already be buried,” he once said.

In 2019, brief movements sparked faint hope — a finger twitch, a slight head turn — but no further progress was reported. Now, unverified claims circulating online suggest the long-unconscious prince has finally opened his eyes.

While official confirmation from the royal family remains pending, the possibility of Prince Al-Waleed's awakening has stirred hearts across the kingdom and beyond.
