Rizal Park and Kiosko Kagawasan at Plaza Divisoria Reopen in Cagayan de Oro City

After several months of renovation and concrete works, two of Cagayan de Oro City’s most iconic public spaces—Rizal Park and JR Borja / Kiosko Kagawasan Park—have officially reopened to the public. These parks form part of the historic Plaza Divisoria, a central landmark in the city.

The reopening marks a renewed commitment to preserving green, cultural, and historical spaces within the urban core. With improved walkways and cleaner surroundings, the newly enhanced parks are expected to once again serve as a hub for leisure, community events, and cultural gatherings.

Plaza Divisoria, also known locally as Divisoria, holds deep historical significance and continues to be a focal point for Kagay-anons and tourists alike. Residents are encouraged to revisit and enjoy the improved amenities now open to the public.
