SDCP Economy | PJRB Inland Resort & Hotel: The Rising Jewel of Monkayo

MONKAYO, DAVAO DE ORO — In a region known for its rich natural resources and tranquil landscapes, PJRB Inland Resort & Hotel is quickly emerging as a prime destination for rest, recreation, and celebration in the Davao Region.

Located just one kilometer from the bustling town center of Monkayo, this 0.7-hectare property is more than a resort — it’s a well-crafted retreat that blends modern convenience with the serenity of provincial charm. Owned and managed by Mrs. Maritess Brillantes, PJRB Inland Resort is proudly local yet meets the expectations of regional tourists and event organizers alike.

A Resort with Heart and Vision

What truly sets PJRB Inland Resort apart is its community-rooted hospitality and commitment to quality. The property reflects the passion of its owner, Mrs. Brillantes, who envisioned the resort as a space not only for leisure but also for local economic activity and cultural celebration.

The day-to-day operations are overseen by Ms. Ana Marie S. Golpere, who ensures every guest is welcomed with professionalism and warmth.

Strategic Location in a Promising Municipality

While the spotlight belongs to PJRB, it’s also important to understand what makes the resort's location even more special. Situated in Monkayo, a municipality rich in gold and mineral resources, the resort benefits from being in one of the most resource-abundant areas in Mindanao.

Monkayo lies on the border between the Davao Region and the Caraga Region, making it a gateway for travelers, traders, and tourists alike. This natural advantage in geography enhances PJRB's accessibility and its appeal to both local and regional markets.

As the town slowly transforms from a mining hub into a more diversified economy — with developments in tourism, infrastructure, and small-to-medium enterprises — PJRB Inland Resort is perfectly positioned to grow along with it.
