MONKAYO, Compostela Valley, Davao,
— I took those pictures below as early as 8 a.m. in the morning, as you can see in the photos, there are few people roaming around the street because it's early in the morning, But if you were there in the town center (Monkayo Poblacion) especially during rush hour, like 4 pm to 5 pm there are a lot of people walking along the street, checking goods around the corner, or simply buying some food to eat, and even during lunch time too.
During the weekend, Monkayo Poblacion has the so called "Taboan". On Taboan day, you can see a wide variety of fresh harvest agricultural goods like fruits, potatoes and vegetables to name a few, it has also poultry products and other livestock animals. And it is avaialble in a very affordable price. You really have a lot of choices there, others showcase their local delicacies too and even "Ukay-ukay" (used clothing) and Ready To Wear (RTW) dress, pants are available also in this area. So, if you happen to drop-by in this town be sure to check out those those things.
Just a quick facts:
Taboan → is the term of the Cebuanos for "Tiangge". In Taboan, they showcase all their harvest of agricultural product in the market or even along the street.
