As I read the article in Interaksyon.com today, the TV5 Online news portal published the partnership deal of Ayala Land Inc and with the Rustan group together with the two Japanese firms to operate "FamilyMart," the second largest C-store in the world.
In a statement issued late Monday, Ayala Land said SIAL CVS Retailers Inc signed a shareholders agreement with FamilyMart Co Ltd and Itochu Corp to develop and operate the FamilyMart convenience store in the Philippines.

But before the said partnership with the ALI by Ayala and the Tantoco-led Rustan's group with other two Japanese firm, The Bloomberg (the business channel) announced and published the business expansion of FamilyMart in southeast asia. According to the Bloomberg website, on the first quarter of this year the FamilyMart would expand their business in Southeast Asia particularly in the Philippines and in Indonesia. The company planned to open 600 stores by 2015 in this region to tap the young market. The retailer intends to have 300 stores in each country by 2015 according to Cheng Herng Shinn and Shunichi Ozasa of Bloomberg.
