The Davao City Planning and Development Office conducted a site visit at the Davao City Bypass Construction Project.
This 2.3-kilometer tunnel project will be the first long-distance mountain tunnel in the country and it is designed by Japanese experts to have better seismic resiliency.
The tunnel is part of contract package 1-1 which is covering a 10.7-kilometer of 4-lane highway.
This project is funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways-UPMO.
