Update, January 2012:
Yes it is confirm that this building is the next hospital that will serve in this city.
The hospital name is Metro Davao Medical and Research Center (MDMRC).
MDMRC is a tertiary hospital, soon to open on 3rd quarter of 2012.

Those in Medical profession you may now submit your application/documents to Dianna Wong at Davao Diamond Industrial Supply or to Angela Tan and Mae Cortez at 5th floor, Yahu! Plaza, F.Bangoy Street, Davao City.

Quick facts

→ This building is the old Cuizon Hotel in Davao.

This hotel was renovated and become a casino in the early 90's. 

And later on, the front part was the Duty-Free Shop in Davao.

Then the property was closed and owned by Philippine National Bank.

And currently, the building is under construction again. 

And soon, this will be one of the many big hospitals in the city that will serve Davaoeño in the  Metropolitan Davao and the nearby areas. And it's one block away from Abreeza Mall.

At this point, there is still no official confirmation from the property owner regarding whether the information above is accurate. The details I’ve shared came from engineers currently working on the building, as well as nearby residents.

If the rumors turn out to be true, this would be great news for us Davaoeños, especially for our medical professionals.

For now, let’s wait and see the final outcome of the building’s renovation.
